Casa del Fuego’s location on Isla Carenero is perfect for a private and secluded stay yet still central enough to quickly get anywhere that you need to go. You can catch boats right from our private dock to go to any of the other islands, such as Bocas town, Solarte, and Bastimentos. You can also take boats to the surf or just walk 10 minutes up the coast!

Paula6 February 2024Great place and very clean! Own little beach and dock to be picked up from. We liked hiking the island and being able to walk to restaurants. Casa del Fuego is central to many things including the other islands and some amazing beaches. The water taxi drivers were all very accommodating. Definitely recommend!Chelsey18 January 2024My friends and I had an amazing stay at Casa del Fuego! We were given clear instructions on how to get to the airbnb, and the host met us at the property to show us around. We felt right at home, and would have stayed longer if we could! The house had all amenities you could want for cooking, laundry, relaxing, etc. The host also helped us set up some excursions while we were on the island - a great experience all around!Alexandra4 January 2024I can't say enough good things about this place. Its beautiful and in the perfect location. Peaceful and private but close to walkable restaursnts and a quick ride across the harbour to bocas town. What made it stand out even more was Ariel, the property manager. He made us feel so welcome and has the house so well set up. He also helped arrange airport transportation and hooked us up with an amazing guide for a private trip to some of the outer islands. Autrement directement sur l’île vous trouvez toutes les commodités a quelques minutes de marche (resto, supermarché…)La maison est grande, climatisée, avec l’eau chaude… une plage privée… un coin feu… que demandez de plus ! The beds and linens are divine. It's like sleeping in a cloud. The private beach where no public can pass in front is awesome. We were able to leave the door open when we were home for fresh air and the pup 🐶 to go in and out. The restaurants short walking distance are some of the best in Bocas; meanwhile, the kitchen is stocked with equipment for preparing great meals! Ariel, our host is super nice and met us at the home and gave us great instructions and advice for enjoying the Bocas area, very much appreciated. The beds and bedding are crazy comfortable and the home is just so pretty. Casa Fuegos kitchen has everything needed to cook meals and feel right at home. The location is about as cool as it can get with the island and and beach restaurants just a few steps down the trail, great food/places in either direction. We really liked Leaf Eaters and Coquitos for pizza. We hiked around the island and paddle boarded and snorkeled in some of the clearest ocean water ever. Bocas is a place you can’t do it all but this place kinda makes you want to relax, chill out and enjoy the very nearest surroundings the island has to offer, and that’s what we did. Would definitely stay there again, thanks for an amazing stay!Jude22 May 2023Beautiful and clean home!! We were delayed at checkin by hours yet Ariel was waiting for us as we arrived. Home is well well equipped. Comfortable A/C and fans throughout. Convenient to Bocas main island activities but also good for getting away from the crowds and noise. Overall great stay, definitely recommend and probably will return.

Things to Do on Isla Carenero:
Isla Carenero is known for it’s lively and cultural town, great restaurants, great surfing spots, tropical beaches, and stunning views. The island has waves on one side, and a calm bay for kayaking and snorkeling on the other. After you’ve done all of the things to do on Isla Carenero, you can grab a water taxi and be anywhere in Bocas del Toro in minutes.
When to Visit
Bocas del Toro:
Surfers will want to visit Bocas del Toro from December to April or the middle of June through the middle of August. Scuba Divers and Snorkelers will love January – March and August – November. If you’re just looking for an all around good time, then the high season is a safe bet: December through April. See all frequently asked questions below!
